AOL Making a Comeback?
AOL could be set to shake up the online world if plans made by new CEO Tim Armstrong could be fruition.
Formerly Google's president of advertising sales, Tim Armstrong has recently been appointment by AOL with one main objective - to breathe new life into AOL - and if his recent interview in the New York Times is anything to go by then he won't be satisified until AOL is back reaching the dizzy heights of the early 2000's.

In fact, according to the New York Times, Tim Armstrong plans to make AOL the biggest creator of premium content on the web and the largest seller of online display advertising.
AOL has been in freefall ever since it was overpowered by the sheer strength of Google, including mass job losses and brand name struggles. However, despite a large revenue decrease of 38% in the last two years alone, Tim Armstrong believes that he can help to overcome all of these issues by streamlining prospective Internet deals and by competing directly with the likes of Google, Yahoo!, and Microsoft for paid advertisements.
Tim Armstrong then summed up his intentions by boldly stating that AOL's aim is To move AOL to the top of the list"."
Let the battle commence.
