Doorway Pages
Doorway pages are a form of SEO that is deemed unethical by the search engines, meaning that it fits under the term 'Black Hat Optimisation', which should be avoided at all costs.
Doorway pages are usually filled with pure text, enabling it to target desired keywords successfully thus boosting natural search engine position. After a few seconds the Doorway page will then automatically redirect the site user to the "real" website, which would normally have no optimisation carried out within it.
As previously mentioned, this technique is frowned upon by the search engines, and if utilised could lead to your website being banned.
